Oh yes, you read that right! This indulgent yet nutritious nicecream is chocolatey, creamy AND counts as 2 of your 5 a day! BOOM!

How is it so creamily guilt free I hear you ask? Well, it comes from frozen, blended banana & some fresh avocado. Now that may sound weird at first but trust me on this one, it works like a charm and you’re getting some great fibre, good fats & potassium in there too which are great for the heart.
Plus the addition of pure cacao powder and cacao nibs means a chocolate flavour without any added sugar, meaning a truly guilt free treat, woohoo!
Recipe (serves 1)
-1 medium banana, chopped, frozen
-Half a large avocado*
-7 to 10 fresh mint leaves (adjust to your taste) OR 1/8th tsp mint extract
-1 small tspn cacao powder
-1 tspn cacao nibs (or dark choc chips)
*Note: you can use a fresh avo as long as the banana is frozen to give a thick “icecream” texture
-Chop the banana into small chunks then freeze flat in a bag for approx. 3 hours until frozen or else overnight.
-Add the frozen banana to a food processor with milk, mint leaves and cacao powder, then process until smooth.
-Add in the avocado and pulse until smooth, sprinkle over cacao nibs then serve up and enjoy your delicious, nutritious meal.
