Great, handy, healthy, delicious snack that counts as 1/5 a day! Brilliant for lunch boxes and once cooked they keep well in the fridge, chilling there until you need a quick snack e.g. great for when you’ve just finished a gym session & you’re hungry, just grab and eat, nom nom!
230g drained chickpeas
1 tspn paprika
1 tspn garlic powder
1 tspn onion powder
1/3 or ½ tspn cayenne powder-depends how hot you want it
1 Tbspn oil
1 Tbspn tamari/soy sauce (use tamari for gluten free version)
Black pepper to taste
Optional: hummus & chilli flakes for serving

*Or use some of your favourite BBQ premade spice mix, but try to get one that’s not loaded with salt and preservatives.
Directions
Preheat oven to 160C
Drain & rinse chickpeas then place in a bowl
Mix all the spices, oil and tamari/soy sauce with the chickpeas in a bowl
Spread out on a lined baking tray and cook for 25mins
Serve with hummus and more chilli
If there is any leftover, once they’ve cooled down, keep in an air tight container in the fridge, great for a quick healthy snack, especially at work
