This recipe is such a mix of many others that I struggled to name it (clearly), but the title does sum it up pretty well.
It involves wraps that are sweet, that I like to have for breakfast (lunch is great too) but it’s fun to cut them into slices so that it resembles a pizza (also a great way to encourage kids to eat them and the fruit on them).
These are a great way to use up any leftover wraps before they go stale and are super quick to prepare in the mornings meaning you get a nutritious breakfast with minimum effort AND makes a change from porridge (even though I adore porridge).
Recipe (serves 1)
-2 small or 1 large wholemeal wrap
Plus choice of:
-berries
-sliced apple
-yogurt
-nut butter (chocolate version below!)
-sprinkle of granola
-flaked almonds
-sprinkle of cinnamon
The version shown here is chocolate almond butter with strawberries, flaked almonds and some cinnamon.
For homemade chocolate nut butter, simply mix together 1 generous tablespoon of runny nut butter (i like almond) with half a teaspoon of cacao powder, you can add a touch of maple/honey/vanilla if you like, adjust to your taste then smooth all over the wrap. Runny nut butter works best for spreading otherwise you risk putting a hole in your wraps!
Directions
1- Heat up the wraps for 10 seconds in the microwave (optional but recommended)
2- Lay on some kind of spread (jam/yogurt/nut butter) followed by any of your chosen toppings then slice or roll them as you please and devour!
I have such a sweet tooth
This sounds like a great alternative for me & looks so tasty!
