Raspberry ruffle breakfast |
Benefits of this breakfast bowl: Cacao is full of antioxidants (e.g. epicatechin), potassium, iron & magnesium, I’ve also mentioned it’s other benefits here before.
Coconut provides healthy fat and fibre and the raspberries provide additional antioxidants, fibre, Vit C, manganese and although it is early days, some studies have shown that compounds in raspberries have the potential to control weight/prevent obesity (via raspberry ketones AKA rheosmin) by activating enzymes which work on fat cells, which is probably why the raspberry ketone supplements are quite popular in health food stores, however it is preferable/safer to have a wholefood, balanced nutrition plan to maintain good weight as well as a healthy relationship with your body. Therefore this is a tasty breakfast but may also have metabolism benefiting effects, which is simply a bonus!
