This porridge is great for boosting metabolism but the extra kick from the cayenne pepper also really heats you up which is great for those cold winter morning starts!
The combo of the coconut oil and cayenne work well together to speed up the body’s metabolism and thermogenesis (body’s ability to use calories to breakdown consumed food to heat up the body). Link:
Green tea also benefits metabolism by increasing fat burn and preventing fat storage.
The raw cacao provides wholefood high antioxidant content, chromium plus magnesium and the cinnamon helps control blood sugar levels whilst adding flavour.

Recipe (serves 1)

*Steep 1 teabag of green tea in 1/3 cup of water the night before
-40/50g oats
-1/2 to 1 tspn coconut oil
-Fruit for sweetness: berries, baobab powder, passionfruit etc
-1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper or more if you like it hot
-Milk (any type)- add as much milk as you like on top of the green tea to get your desired consistency as some people prefer their porridge thicker
-A generous dash of
Ceylon cinnamon (you’d need to get this online as most supermarkets only stock the fake type; cassia)
Optional: 1 teaspoon maple syrup/1 tablespoon cacao nibs topping
Cook porridge as normal, leaving the cacao nibs and cinnamon for toppings, enjoy & feel the sweat!
