Creamy Green Goodness pasta sauce (rich in Sulforaphane) Dinner Grainfree Uncategorized vegan

This sauce is so great for health but I especially love the addition of the sprouts, this ingredient makes the recipe super annoying for cancer cells as sprouts have up to 20 times more sulforaphane (SFN) than bigger cruciferous veggies like broccoli & cabbage etc.

Benefits of Sulforaphane
*SFN can target the pesky cancer stem cells which need to be removed before cancer is truly gone, or they’ll keep acting as the origin for new cancer cells.
http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20388854 *It has antibacterial properties that are effective at killing H. pylori bacteria which have been linked to stomach cancer.

*It can also protect us from certain toxins e.g AFB1 by inhibiting the production of certain cytochrome P450 liver enzymes that convert toxins into their more reactive, damaging form.

*It’s able to increase the levels of important antioxidant molecules like Glutathione (GSH) and encourages the Nrf-2 pathway which is involved in antioxidant & anti-inflammatory mechanisms.

This article summaries quite simply and nicely how a broccoli sprout extract juice was used in mice and humans to reduce their incidence of cancer and also induce protective effects successfully in the target tissue: http://www.sciencedaily.com/releases/2015/04/150419194019.htm
