Omega 3 & magnesium rich brownie energy balls

Does what it says on the tin! These energy balls are not only a great, natural source of energy but also use ingredients high in omega 3 fats and magnesium, so you can nourish yourself while feeding a craving.

For the healthy fats/omegas I used ingredients such as walnuts, chia and hemp protein, you can also add shelled hemp seeds as a topping too if you like plus dark chocolate which not many people know can be a good source of magnesium. Brands will differ due to which one you choose & also how dark regarding the chocolate coating. A basic cacao powder will be high and the one I used per 100g has around 166% of RDA magnesium (thought the RDA will differ between men & women). A few squares of 85% dark choc can be a good portion of your RDA ticked off too so I used both in this recipe. Chia seeds & cashews also contain magnesium.

Protein yogurt cookie dough bowl

This healthy plant protein, cookie dough bowl is high in fiber and high in protein with dark chocolate for a bit of indulgence,  plus it’s much better than store bought and great for after a workout!
You can also smoosh this together into one big serving rather than rolling into individual bits

Made using healthy, natural ingredients plus if you use a probiotic yogurt then it’s good for your gut too.

Note: This won’t work with whey protein as its not as absorbent as plant protein so it wont bind

Plant based, peanut butter protein bars

These homemade, vegan, protein bars are so yummy plus do not contain weird sweeteners like Maltitol that can give you an upset tummy and are way easier & cheaper to make compared to buying expensive store bought bars!

I used a berry & PB combo flavour here but they can be easily adapted to suit your tastes.
I used plant protein, mostly pea based & whey will not work so if you’re not plant based please don’t sub this as it won’t work!

Peanut butter berry cookies

I love a berry and peanut butter combo so this was bound to happen eventually.
The addition of the slightly tart berries with the creamy peanut butter is lovely and makes for a healthier cookie.Peanut butter berry cookies snack

PLUS this is a great way to use up that hard bit of natural PB that you find at the bottom of the jar or tub that most people don’t know what to do with, I simply use a small food processor to blend it into the other wet ingredients so that it doesn’t go to waste.

Cookie crumble protein cups

So this recipe is exactly what it says on the tin. Protein powder (plant version) mixed with crumbled up cookie/biscuit and shaped in a cupcake tin then topped with chocolate.
You can adapt this with whatever you like, some suggestions I got on my insta stories were raisins or popping a berry in the middle or on top etc.
